Shannon Barbour is a writer and editor at Wondermind, the new content hub founded by Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey, and Daniella Pierson. There, she uses her entertainment and news background to monitor industry developments, interview changemakers and celebrities, and develop creative copy that aims to destigmatize and democratize mental health. Before Wondermind, she covered entertainment and news at Bustle and managed a team of writers. She previously worked at Cosmopolitan, where she wrote about entertainment, politics, and social issues, along with lifestyle content. Before her time at Cosmopolitan, she covered beauty for New York Magazine’s The Cut, local news for New York Magazine’s Bedford + Bowery, and her work has also appeared in Marie Claire and Teen Vogue. Shannon is a graduate of New York University’s journalism master’s program and Baylor University, where she studied political science, communications, and French.
